DRUM DECANTING UNIT DDU

Drum Decanting Units (DDUs) boasts various operational capabilities, such as decanting, rinsing, drum tilting, and heating, all aimed at enhancing user experience. These units come equipped with conveyor belts, load cells, control systems, rinse tanks, and swivel lances, which enhance both efficiency and safety. Designed for the effective pumping and accurate dosing of highly viscous liquids from drums, the DDU integrates smoothly into formulation processes. This technology is recommended for applications that require the highest levels of dosing accuracy and consistency.

The Drum Decanting Unit (DDU) is a sophisticated yet accessible tool that prioritizes safety and efficiency. In lubricant manufacturing process it facilitates the emptying of a predetermined volume of additives without introducing cross-contamination into the lubricant. By seamlessly integrating expensive additives into production, the DDU minimizes product loss and waste. It complies with top safety standards and operates in a clean, fully enclosed setting.

The Operation of DDU Involves:
The use of roller conveyors to handle drums one at a time, transferring them onto the designated drum-weighing platform.

1. The operator carefully chooses the appropriate drum and sequentially places it onto the platform.
2. The platform is equipped with compression load cells that measure the weight of each material, along with a tilting mechanism to optimize product recovery and removal.
3. A flexible hose is utilized with a suction telescopic nozzle, which is inserted into the drum to extract the liquid.
4. A screw pump is utilized to extract oil and convey it to the dosing or blending system.

5. The operator starts the production process through the supervisory control system, which retrieves and confirms the component recipe and setup.
6. Once the specified quantity of material is drawn from each drum, the lance is detached, cleaned in a rinsing tube, and prepared for the subsequent drum in the sequence.
7. The setup features a rinse tank that comes with an integrated heating system.
8. The system effectively flushes both the nozzle and drum to eliminate leftover material, ensuring optimal product recovery while reducing waste and preventing cross-contamination.
9. Furthermore, each empty drum is treated with a low viscosity substance to reduce any remaining material inside the drum or tote.
10. A dedicated hose equipped with a quick-release coupling is available for the timely addition of finishing oil from any system.

Benefits of Our Drum Decanting Unit:
1. Streamline operations by utilizing a fully automated system that incorporates Clean-In-Place technologies, reducing the need for manual dosing, cleaning, and excessive treatment for enhanced safety and efficiency.
2. Enhance product recovery and disposal through the use of tilting devices designed to effectively empty drums.
3. Boost operational flexibility by allowing the use of additives with varying viscosities or enabling manual addition of components as dictated by specific recipes.
4. Prevent excessive treatment by ensuring precise dosing.
5. Calculate the necessary measurements for the decanting process.
6. Combine components directly from drums or totes.
7. Minimize space usage with an upgraded, more streamlined unit.
8. Boost operational efficiency by choosing from 9 distinct control phases tailored to recipe needs.
9. Prevent rinse tank contamination through lance cleaning methods.
